WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD

deserves access to books that inspire and engage them.  To support this mission, we offer a FREE Personalized Library program for children.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

At the Reader's Lab we truly believe in the power of reading and the impact it can have on a child's future. That's why we were thrilled to partner with Horton Elementary School for their Annual Summer Reading Kickoff event. We donated over 500 books—along with fun bookmarks, pencils, and erasers—to spark excitement and a love for reading among the students. The goal was to ensure that every child had the opportunity to bring home a new or gently used book to continue their reading journey throughout the summer.

As part of the event, I also had the pleasure of visiting a second-grade classroom to read aloud and engage with the students. Watching the students engage with the story, ask questions and participate along with me was truly priceless. It was an unforgettable experience, and I'm excited to share a video of the event to inspire others to give back and foster a love of reading in the next generation.

This book giveaway was just the first of many experiences we hope to provide for our community, and a reflection of our desire to help all children learn and grow to become confident readers. If you live in San Diego and would like to be involved in a future event, please send us a message!
